Since the show, she has performed in several different major cities in the US from Chicago, to Atlanta, to Wisconsin.
Considering herself a singer, songwriter with the distinct ability to rap, Lucy Lu has entered a competition for upcoming artists and songwriters and won. It was called “Chicago vs. Milwaukee” and she took home awards for Best R&B and Hip-Hop Artist, as well as Best Female Songwriter.
In 2018, after taking some time to work with other independent artists and get her name into the industry a little more, Lucy Lu released a third mixtape entitled “Lucy Lu Back in Mode.” Recently, she signed a recording contract with Miami-based independent label Rich Nation Entertainment and hopes to work with more independent artists in the future.
